Jay-Z on Wayne feud: ‘That’s sport’

wayne_jay

So you know how Lil Wayne and Jay-Z had a war of the words not too long ago? Jay-Z dissed Wayne, Wayne dissed back, Drake threw his hands up and announced he wanted no part of it, then Wayne said there wouldn’t be any repercussions for going after Jay (and Bey), etc. Anyway, find out what Jay said about his and Wayne’s spat after the jump.

SPOTTED: Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Kanye West go shopping

beyjaykanye_intermix

The Holy Trinity of hip hop and R&B were spotted at Intermix in NYC yesterday. In between shopping and sipping, Jay-Z hugged it out with Bey (kudos to Bey for rocking heels while pregnant while I look like Bambi) and Kanye even smiled at the paparazzi. I guess being in the Royal Fetus’ presence can make even a hip hop grinch’s heart grow three sizes.

Katy Perry working on unreleased songs

katyperry_smile

After the massive success she’s had with her sophomore album, (she recently announced her sixth single and filmed the video for it), it looks like Katy Perry’s sticking to the formula that works for her and is working on unreleased songs from the “Teenage Dream” sessions. This is according to producer Tricky Stewart, who worked with Perry on three songs from the album, who sat down with MTV to discuss what Katy’s up to in the studio.

“Katy and I went into [the studio] just to address some issues with records that we had done in the past that didn’t end up going on Teenage Dream. So we are in the process of just listening and freshening up things and getting ready for something special she has going on.”

Stewart wasn’t exactly sure what she was preparing to release, he did reveal the name of her new song.

“This song is really special. It’s called ‘Dressing Up,’ so it’s going to be a big record, I think. It definitely fits. It’s right there in what her sensibilities are as a musician and a songwriter. She doesn’t change much. She has a very keen musical taste. It’ll be really good.”

Lady Gaga: NYC’s Lady in Red

gagared_nyc

After a pitstop in London, where she appeared and performed on The Jonathan Ross Show, Lady Gaga has returned to the love of her life, New York City. Gaga apparently shaved a fraggle and proudly rocked it while leaving a Soho dance studio (her rumored boyfriend was there too). She also stopped to pose for a few photos with fans. Next up for Gaga is the release of the “Monster Ball” DVD and “Born This Way” remix album. Both media will be released November 21 so mark your calendars, Little Monsters.

Rihanna’s #1 in the UK, gets rejected by Dudley

ri_glamour2011

Plus and minus for Rihanna this week. The singer just scored her sixth #1 in the UK with new single, “We Found Love,” and snatched the title away from Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera’s “Moves Like Jagger.” The track was released last Monday and sold 87K copies in four days so kudos to Rihanna. She’ll also be appearing on X Factor USA (this Wednesday on FOX) as a mentor to the contestants.

The minus comes courtesy of her rumored new beau, Dudley O’Shaughnessy, who was her love interest in the “We Found Love” video (and recently went to Club Mahiki with her). The former boxer and current model told The Mirror that there’s no future for him and Ri.

Find out what Dudley had to say after the jump.

“My career is my biggest priority right now. We had fun together, but I don’t know whether I will see her again to be honest. I’d like to go to America …but for work.”

He allegedly turned Ri down after she invited him to go on tour with her. Ah well, Ri’s busy too so I doubt she’s pressed about it.

After appearing with family members and his daughter’s boyfriend on Anderson, Amy Winehouse’s father, Mitch, has revealed his plans to write a memoir about her. Amy, My Daughter will be published worldwide next summer and the book will entail Amy’s life from childhood, fame and death. Proceeds of the book will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which supports “charitable activities in both the UK and abroad that provide help, support or care for young people, especially those who are in need by reason of ill health, disability, financial disadvantage or addiction.”

Find out what Mitch had to say about the upcoming memoir.

“Amy, My Daughter will be a must read for Amy’s legions of fans, and also a heart-breaking account of a father’s love for his lost daughter that will speak to any parent. I feel that I need to write this book to tell the true story of Amy and to help with my personal recovery.”
